Havdalas logical conclusion is pirud.

When a prior unity is bifurcated the resulting two entities are, by definition, unequal. When unity no longer obtains then, perforce, there must be an up or a down, a right or a left, an east or a west, a hot or a cold or a hard or a soft. All these categories are antithetical to one another and, left in close proximity, will clash. He Who was initially mavdil did not merely separate (verb) between upper and lower waters, He installed a firmament that would keep the upper and lower spheres separate (adjective), unequal and distant from one another.
